Reading the old Viking Press edition, not the annotated version. I can see why some people prefer the latter, but I've been betrayed in the past by notes more on the side of temporary fact, than well-researched truth.

At the moment in which I, or the Reader, has realized that the Writer may or may not be Italo or Ermes or whoknowswho, but is, of course, Italo, because I assume he was the one paid for the early sales of this book. (Also, realizing David Mitchell's criticism of this book is rather weak. I don't think Mitchell can even walk in Calvino's shadow, but hey... what do I know?)

The part in which Calvino (or perhaps me, the Reader) tells the reader to throw the book out the window and, eventually, into the edges of spatiotemporal non-being.
