I’ve known this about AG Howard’s writing that it tends to be way over-written and as if she opened a thesaurus in order to fit ‘cool words in’ and despite this, it’s never bothered me before. However it is unfortunate to say that this book is giving me a bit of a headache with how much it’s over-written.

it took me a bit to get into and so many names to keep straight but now i’m fully invested

so far i’m enjoying it but it doesn’t have the same magic that the cruel prince did

however i really am liking what seems to be a childhood friends to lovers trope 💕 is real cute innit

i’m already obsessed with this and so sad that the next volume comes out next year 😭🩷 (I know i could probably read it online but it’s not the same)

if this book were any slower i’d probably dnf
