I'm not sure but I guess this is getting mildy dissappointing by the page… By far neither am I getting attached to any of the characters (that being the driving force behind reading murakami's humungous novels) nor am I expecting anything murakami-ish to happen hereafter… Having read a mere 220 pages in the last 5 days, this happens to be the slowest I have read any of his books...

I must confess this is only my second book on historical fiction (the first being 'Tale of Two Cities' in grade school')and hence I was a bit hesitant on picking this one up, but man Mitchel can write, whatever genre be it.... "Night insects trill, tick, bore, ring; drill, prick, saw, sting" on pg63... how brilliant & original an imagery is that?
