Poppy War is a my first modern fantasy novel. I loved the story and the fast paced nature. It is a very good book for debut. I expect there could be more detailing of the world and the geography of the location and more depth to each of the characters introduced. Overall it is a very good read. I felt the anger and emotions of the character over the ending and justifiable.
