Ah yes the contempt for the idea of being judged by a jury of poor people. Why they may actually find you guilty of the thing you definitely did!

Sorry but that mother does not deserve forgiveness just because she turned up 40 years later. And marvel is a hypocrite for demanding it when she made her brother spend years of hard work pointlessly trying to get back at their stepmother. Maybe that's the theme but I just find this part annoying

We Come From Old Virginia: oh no this one is even more depressing

Story of a generation in seven scams: really depressing.

Ecstasy: bleak amerciana at its best. though the self-annihilation bit was creepy

Pure Heroines: really liked this one (of course I did, it's about books)

Always be optimising: good if a little disjointed. liked the part about not being beautiful being seen as a moral/ethical failing

Reality TV me: this one was mostly fun.

First essay: I in the Internet, good in a terrifying, depressing sort of way.
