Issue 36: wow, this is an tribute to the disaster of 9/11. The heroes reach the disaster area and this shows just how helpless they felt and how humanity are the real heroes of the story. The entire issue is a monologue to the hope of America as the attack occurred and how we can rise up from it. If anyone were to tell you comics are not real literature. Show them this issue. Beautiful writing.

Issue #32: Enter Morlun, the background on the totemic lore behind Spider-Man is making its way very silently but with a lot of interesting narrative tools. Enjoying it so far, Straczynski seems to lean towards redundancy at times, but it’s fine.

Issue #30: So I wanted to see if I could read the entirety of the Spider-Verse. This includes the issues that prep you mythos-wise for it. In this issue we’re introduced to Ezekiel and Morlun. Still a little early to really determine the quality of this story but a cool start.

Issue #3: Good shit so far. Might just have to read Wonder Woman before Tom King’s run.

Issue #9: holy fuck

Issue #8: There a strange interest growing in me to know more of Mr. Sinister. The whole issue had me wondering lots on his true origin and just how he can qualify as a mutant etc etc. It’s a great preparation for Sins of Sinister.

Issue #7: I just LOVED having Nightcrawler front and center of the story in this issue

Issue #2: I’m a little lost as to why the wizard SHAZAM y now evil and siding with the gods. Is it because of the Lazarus Magic? Do I have to read Geoff Johns Shazam run to understand? Still a good story so far, and Yara Flor will forever be my crush.

Gotta admit this premise is very interesting. Not sure if connecting it to the Lazarus rain was the greatest idea but still really cool.

This run has been weak. The free comic book day issue was pretty good tho…now we wait for Fallen Friend to finish this damned volume.

Issue 24: Welp, we’re entering the “wtf happened that now everyone hates Peter and MJ has two children with another man” arc and well….sigh*
