This book is bracing, but not consistent with my approach to life. The thing is, if you believe that life is not ordered to something transcendent, as in a religious or metaphysical view, its hard to know how many people will figure out how to live without a view like Bernhardi's or maybe in a dishonest sentimentalized view.

That's why I say it's bracing. He is "honest", in a cynical way.

My edition was not listed, I assume because it does not have an isbn. It’s the original 1912 English language version.

This isn’t the book I tried to post, which was hobbitus ille. As one who generally finds apps like this annoying, I probably will just give up and not bother using it anymore. Just thought you’d all like to know who he party pooper is.
