I don't know who sent me this book (the downside of the book exchange, I guess), but I am loving it so far. I am actually sad when I get to my tram stop, because it means I have to book the book down.

Apparently, I'm a sucker for punishment, considering how much I disliked Sons and Lovers. Well, here's to hoping I'll find this less atrocious.

I've been really enjoying this book, up until this current part, which is so depressing that I am finding myself hoping that when she dies and comes back again, the same thing won't happen again. Probably no such luck, though.

The tagline of this book should be "abandon all hope, ye who enter here." I've been reading this monster for three weeks and feel like I will never finish. Also, goodreads is a liar - it says that this is 1000 pages when in my kindle with footnotes, it's over 3200 pages. I've given up on the footnotes. I can't take it anymore!

I've decided to read this book after reading another super long book because hey, why not? Also I'm crazy.

Reading this book is like torture, or watching a train wreck in slow motion. I see what's coming, I want to stop it, but I can neither stop nor look away.

I was afraid that after all this time, and knowing how much so many of my friends love Haruki Murakami, that this book would be a disappointment, because I had my expectations way too high. Glad to say that this isn't the case, and the more I read, the more compelling and difficult it is to put this book down.

I love Parks and Recreation, and have always felt like Amy Poehler seems like she would be just an awesome girl friend. Her book is definitely confirming that and so much more. I definitely have a girl crush on her.

I've already read this, and I know I loved it, but am reading it again, since I assigned it to my British students.

I'm getting to a part of the book where I have been completely sucked in and want to keep reading until I'm finished with the book, but at the same time, the things that are happening are so awful I kind of want to stop at the same time.
