Masuk volume 2. Sebenernya cukup ok dan cukup lucu hanya saja masalah perbedaan usia ini beneran ga nyaman untukku...

Ngl, I really dislike Vincent. I feel like his only redeeming quality is that he’a charming. That’s it. He is selfish, act too cool and broody since he was a kid as if he was some kind of tortured soul, when actually he’s just a selfish a**hole man.

This book has so many beautiful passages, but somehow it didn't work for me. A lot happens to the siblings, yet I never felt connected to them. Maybe it's because the story follows three POVs and covers so much of their lives, but everything felt a bit glossed over. In the end, I wasn't emotionally invested in any of their stories.

Some of the reasons I don't feel connected to any of the characters in this book, or why I don't feel much emotion while reading it, are that aside from Franny they all seem to fall into instalove, (spoiler) when the boys fell to their demise that summer, the girls didn't really show any deep grief and Vincent and all of his reckless adventures with women, most of which were illegal, by the way, given his age.

Man, I feel nothing while reading this book. Not a single emotion comes up as I read it. There's really nothing wrong with the book, though. Personally, I think the writing is good, as evidenced by the several passages I highlighted, and the story is decent, but it just doesn't make me feel anything. I'm currently on Part III, and I hope I'll enjoy it more.

semakin saya baca buku ini semakin saya merasa tidak nyaman. Rasanya buku ini terlalu jujur untuk mengupas sisi manusia biasa. manusia yang penuh napsu, penuh takut, yang ingin kabur dari ketidakberdayaan dan keputusasaan, jujur awalnya saya pikir masalah perselingkuhan yang akan membuat saya tidak nyaman, tapi ternyata buku ini seluruh halamannya perlahan-lahan menyergap saya dengan cengkraman rasa tidak nyaman.

Guru Isa sungguh merasa dirinya tidak berdaya, tidak memiliki kemampuan dan rasaku mungkin beliau sebenarnya depresi berat... hal yang sungguh sangat wajar melihat kenyataan yang terjadi di negaranya dimana beliu merasa terus ditekan dan disiksa dengan rasa takut, rasa tak aman dan tak berdaya

Rasanya banyak typo sehingga agak sedikit mengurangi kenikmatan membaca saya karena membuat saya jadi berpikir apa sebenarnya maksud kalimat ini. Ternyata typo.

Selain itu frasa-frasa di buku ini tidak begitu familiar buat saya namun tentu kalau hal ini tidak mengurangi kenikmatan membaca tapi justru membuat saya senang karena dapat membaca frasa-frasa Indonesia di masa itu

Agak nyess juga baca novel ini...

On to volume 3! What a fun manga! I really like Josei mangas beauce I relate more to this kinda stories (because you know my age...)

New book. Seems fitting to read this one in Halloween month.

Duh, semoga ga ada deh alur cerita temen makan temen apalagi antara pertemenan antar perempuan. Btw, ini buku cukup menghibur sih tapi kayaknya agak kepanjangan deh halamannya... rasanya cukup aja di halaman 200an supaya selesai buku ini. Semoga semakin kebelakang semakin seru deh.

Ouji-sama nyebelin banget. Seriusan, ni bocil kalau ada beneran pengen kujewer aja deh. Semoga akhir cerita buat si Ouji-sama ini memuaskan karena saya beneran kesel sama ni bocil yang belagu nan sotoy

Kayaknya ada halamannya yang hilang deh... hmmmm. semoga aja ngga dan emg alurnya seperti itu

Hm... keempat klien Karl pada nyentrik semua nih. Menarik. Btw, agak kagok juga ya membaca pertama kali buku yang sepertinya bersetting di daerah Eropa yang tidak memakai Bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa utamanya.

Third story done and now I'm on the last story.

So far surprisingly the second story, Apt Pupil, seemed to be my favorite one because it actually just creeping me out and making me uncomfortable. Maybe because I already watched the movie version of Shawsank and The Body

Second story done! Ugh such a creepy story filled with unlikeable main characters. Just what I expected with King's story. So far I really like this book.

Now, on to the next story: The Body!

First story: Rita Hayword and Shawshank Redemption done.
On to the next story!

I love how calm this book is, just like other books that I have read from Fredrik Backman. Yet even with all the calmness there is always something huge that lurks within the pages that make me let out a bit of a gasp.

Volume 1 done!

Next vol. 6!

Beneran deh rasanya banyak bubble percakapan yang terbalik-balik. Agak kecewa sediiikit karena saya pikir dengan harg yang lebih mahal akan semakin minim kesalahan. Tapi, saya tetap menikmati sih membaca manga ini hehe
