This seems like a firecracker and I’m so excited to read it. It already points to many of the issues I had while reading and studying Pinker, Fukuyama, and Rousseau and Hobbes or “big history” in the 21st century: how did we arrive at such simple conclusions about people, and the world? Why has everything been reduced to just two paths and a grand unifying story?
