I have obviously read a lot more than 94 books, although these represent particular favourites and interests. Been struggling with my reading since deteriorating near sightedness has become a problem these past few years. Notwithstanding that I am still very interested in printed books and literature.

Peter is on page 79 of Tragic sense of life
Very deep and requires careful reading, but still it speaks to the human condition

Still enjoying it but reading and savouring more slowly than I used to. I love Trollope’s characters both this he sets up as protagonists; Mr. Harding, Eleanor Bold, and to a lesser extent Archdeacon Grantly and Dean Arabian. His antagonists are truly awful but well written, Mr. Slope and Mrs. Proudie being particularly odious.

It’s been a good few years since I last read this book snd most of Trollope’s Chronicles of Barsetshire. As witty and pithy as I remembered. Re-reading this is like meeting up with a long lost friend.

Still really enjoying this book, it’s quite a fast paced yarn about Lincoln’s time as President. I am at the summer of 1864 already.

Still an excellent read. In my younger life I was a voracious reader but since I developed cataracts and had them removed two and three years ago, then the onset of the pandemic I have found reading both physically and mentally more exhausting with both poorer eyesight and a lack of focus due to Covid uncertainty. This book has helped me get back to a more normal reading pattern by holding my interest.

Really enjoying it so far, now that President Lincoln is a wartime leader, the pace seems to be picking up. At Late Summer/Autumn 1861

Still a good read although my recent bout of sinusitis slowed me down. I have long found Cervantes the man much more interesting than a Shakespeare, althoughI have only read the Quijote.
