The end of this book (not the story as I’m only half way through) has a great intro to Shelley’s Frankenstein and questions the future of humanity and AI. It’s great and just in time for teaching.

Dual, at least, narrative between imagined and clear well researched (immersive?) life of Shelley and Romantics growing up alongside the 21st century trans scientist Ry Shelley and a quest to produce the best AI. Am into this now. Hope to use when teaching the original.

Might put this on the back burner at the moment whilst I’m trying to do my first MA piece and tackle some fiction instead. This is quite bleak politically speaking!

Taking me a while this though it’s interesting. Apparently there’s a counter book to this attacking most of what Shapiro claims!

God knows what I’ve read in that chapter given the DOMESTIC that ensued whilst struggling to read it 😡
