Nicholas is on page 126 of 288 of Out of the Woods
Beautiful prose blending psychogeography, memoir, nature and religion in a 2019 Wainwright shortlisted read I’ve missed until this past fortnight. Resonates in many ways for me and although I’m about half way through, I am absolutely absorbed by this, loving it and yearning to see Epping Forest or just the outside once again!

147/252 not including the intro and the end essay/iview. I am enjoying this bleak dystopia.

Nicholas is on page 132 of 320 of Shakespeare in a Divided America
Fascinating takes on Shakespeare as through American history. Things I didn’t know. I’m sure I have got to 41 not knowing that Lincoln was assassinated and that with reading, in my opinion, the overrated Lincoln in the Bardo. Yawn.

Within a couple of pages, I was snorting with laughter. Doyle’s the ideal drinking companion.

Picked this up again and enjoyed the twenty or so pages I’ve looked at. Just need to keep reminding myself that it’s Cromwell who is telling things and that Katherine is far off, all but exiled, while Anne, pregnant is rapidly falling out of favour (gender of baby a big point here) and Jane’s already on the scene. Was Henry really a ‘good’ monarch?
