I genuinely cannot comprehend how this book is so highly praised maybe I'm missing something but damn

it's not looking good folks

Every time an Elias' pov comes into view I find myself sighing. Alas, I truly couldn't care less about him, sometimes I even find him extremely annoying and tasteless especially regarding his thoughts about his fellow female comrade. I will finish this book for spirit of completion but I'm truly disappointed so far, I thought I would have loved it more given the high reviews and praise.

knowing that this book is fiction but the things that are depicted in the story happen in real life is heartbreaking
