Listen, I’m proud of myself for making it has far as I did, but I am just not a fantasy girlie and that’s okay! I did the dramatized adaptation and only got through part one of book one.

What I do remember from what I read were her sisters were terrible. I remember the poor “She took my wings” moment. That was sad but also I kept hearing it as “but the children love the books” kind of vibe.

It’s me, not the books fault. Mostly me anyway. As I’ve mentioned before I haven’t read as much as in years past. Partly bc of my ADHD being a lot this year and also rescuing our sweet Ella girl. If you saw her cute furry face you’d understand why.

I just wasn’t fully captivated or in the headspace because typically by August I’m read to dive headfirst into fall and this wasn’t it.
