Story 1 - A good story, oddly reminded me of Kafka's Metamorphosis, but I think that was mainly the first person narrative and the protagonist's extreme lethargy at the beginning.
Story 2 - Excellent, loved how the details of the story were gradually discovered through the narrative. Loved the relationship between the protagonist and his best friend and especially how he interacted with the children in the story.
