....We would do well to listen to the female body because if the environment is poor, and our intuition has been silenced and shamed, you better believe her body is going to be the fail-safe, the bell that won't unring. The invader is not long since gone and in medicine they will continue to miss the point and exacerbate the problem to catastrophic effect, if they think they're only work is too silence the bell."

All those red button pushers are part of the fabric of our normal culture and are only increasing.

Virtually every problem in the health system can be understood by following the money."

It's not huge eyes almost bursting with longing situated somewhere in the middle of a double bed with the covers turned down invitingly; its just as likely to be the look of benevolent indulgence that a mother gives a toddler, or a look of amused exasperation"

It works precisely because that isn't how you're supposed to do it, if you listen to the collective male wisdom. There are still enough of the old-style, big-mouthed, self-opinionated egomaniacs around to make someone like me appear refreshingly different."

“Olive’s story serves as a parable for the violence of the American project, the brutal insistence on dividing the world between ‘white’ and ‘other’, between ‘civilization’ and ‘savagery’, that underpinned this country’s formation. It’s not only violent to police these kinds of binaries - it’s impossible.”
