A Distant Earth
Just reached chapter 8, and I have to say, it's gripping from the start. The author's knack for character dialogues really shines through, making it such an enjoyable read. While I enjoyed 'Species II', this book surpasses it with its captivating concept and storytelling with fun fantasy and sci-fi elements.

I've only read a dozen pages so far, but let me tell you, the way it keeps me flipping those pages is so pleasant. What really hits home for me is the theme of alcoholism it explores. You know, it's something I've actually experienced in my own family, and some alcoholics still remain so nice and polite despite their addiction. I'm loving it so far and can't wait to see where the story takes me next.

Arg, the downside of reading at a snail's pace is there are so many character names and it takes a lot of mental efforts out of me to remember who's who. Maybe I just have to accept the fact I'm just aging (42 years old)?
Regardless of my busy schedule, it's an awesome story! I wonder if it's inspired by the recent 'underground warfare' documentaries, which involve kidnapped children.

So far so good. The epigraphs alone are already putting me in the mood of reading this new SK novel.

Believe it or not, I wrote a very similar story about a boy in poverty who find hidden money from a bank robber, and then uses the money warily, little by little over the course a decade, to support people around him. Mostly charity. I'm a bit disapointed as I'll have to trash my story now. Anyway, SK is doing a great job with the second tome of Mr. Mercedes.

At long last, I'm starting to read Stephen King's sure-to-be new masterpiece. I have a very good vibe about this one.

At long last, Project Dechentreiter is no longer an exclusive of Amazon. Never again will I trust Amazon. Never again. They have limited my potential to reach readers more than helping. Big crooks.

I came across a brilliant segment in the book.
BOY #1: "Who'd win in a fight: a zombie or a shark?"
BOY #2: "A Zombie, of course."
BOY #1: "I say shark. You know how sharkskin is. A zombie can't swim too well, it's rotten-ass arms flopping around."
BOY #2: "Well, if it bites the zombie's head off and swallow it, its head will be in the shark's

Forgot to update my status a week ago.
Very well written and engaging, but if you haven't watched the 2003 movie 'The Room' it will probably not make sense to you.

I hurried to load The Troop in my Kobo right after my goodreads friend Kandice started to speak highly of this book.
So far? It's so well written it deserves the tag of page-turner.

I had a high fever all night, so I decided to take this opportunity to read in bed.
The previous chapter was about Jim Gardener. I love the character very much. Jim and Bobbie seem to be telepathically connected together.
Yes. Reading The Tommyknockers is a chore, but I think those seemingly endless off-topic pages manage to keep me captivated. I loved the eye-opening sequence about Chernobyl and power plants.

I just finished chapter 2. I learned some cool new stuff.
"citizens of a little town in Utah called Blessing had all suddenly gone crazy on the same day in the summer of 1884"
I have to find more about it. Definitely caught my attention.

I'm already hooked. I love how Bobby is living as a recluse with her dog in the middle of nowhere. She just stumbled upon that mysterious plate buried on her property and she wonders what in the world it might be. And that green light. Oh, that green light.

Dear Goodreads Team... I would greatly appreciate not to see ads of a sexual nature on this website... It's really uncalled for. Thanks.

The year is 2089... Years after the doomed culture... The world is once again on the onset of a crisis... They had been impoverished... They hadn't had enough food... And then what? That darn girlfriend was burning eggs during breakfast. Ah, those careless girlfriend (haha). I love the intro, I'm already hooked.

The Deep Blue Good-By (Travis McGee, #1)
The Travis McGee series is praised by so many other readers and writers. He's some kind of modern Sherlock Holmes. I just finished chapter 'Uno' hearing Cath Kerr's intriguing story about the mysterious stolen loot. So far so good!
