With the caveat that I have not finished this book, I heartily recommend it to any of my book-loving, library loving friends. The author's prose is quite lyrical for a nonfiction book.

I like this so far. It's a "paranormal mystery", I'll probably finish this one in a day or so. Characters are fascinating, and seem so fully developed that I wonder if this isn't a second book in a series, but even if it is, it seems I learn enough about the characters and background just from this one.

So far I recommend.

I'm doing my best to get into this because so many people have loved it. This is my second attempt.

Re-reading for the first time in years. I'm completely absorbed.

Now I'm sorry I held on to this book for so long and didnt read it. I'm really enjoying the writing style.

The plot lacks the urgency of some of Grisham's earlier works. There are few sympathetic our even well developed characters. I keep waiting for there to be something compelling to make me want to finish the book. So far it's just tedious administrative details rather than exiting courtroom drama. most lawyers will tell you that is what it all is like, but I seer no reason to continue reading.
