Far, far funnier than I'd ever imagined. In 3.1, Constance exhorts Austria to "Doff [the lion's hide] for shame, / And hang a calfskin on those recreant limbs." Austria responds: "O, that a man should speak those words to me!"
The Bastard promptly complies, calling Austria's bluff; and Austria never speaks again without the Bastard shooting him down. (And the Bastard kills him off-stage at the end of the scene.)

CASSIUS: Will you dine with me to-morrow?
CASCA: Ay, if I be alive and your mind hold and your dinner worth the eating.

Duchess of York (R3's mother) to her daughter-in-law Elizabeth (E4's widow and mother of the murdered princes):
"in the breath of bitter words let's SMOTHER / My damned SON that thy two SONS SMOTHERED" (4.4.148-149)
The repetition seems to draw attention to the presence of "mother" inside the word "smother"

RICHARD: [...] I was born so high: / Our eyrie [...] dallies with the wind and scorns the sun.
MARGARET: And turns the sun to shade -- alas! alas! / Witness my son, now in the shade of death, / Whose bright outshining beams thy cloudy wrath / Hath in eternal darkness folded up.

p. 183: Stephen "had seen many and many a husband, and even some lovers, angry at a woman's sickness, impatient, full of blame: quite devoid of pity, and angry that it should be expected of them."
