No money, no food, no water, no shelter, no warmth. Begging in the filthy part of town. Not allowed to jump to the larger, wealthier part of town, Beaten, assaulted, robed. After enough time managing to steal enough to leave and go o the university, Given food, drink (Beer, Cider, Water etc.) and a bed to sleep in. After all of this torture of the past, he never gave up. After showing skill and Sympathy. 2/3

The theme of the book "The Name of the Wind" is never giving up. Kvothe has had his parents murdered by being thought to be of myth. He lived in the wilderness for a year, never giving up, with no easy food, water. He never gave up. The slowly moved to the city with a "lucky" farmer giving him a ride. But the due to Kvothe not being able to get back to the cart on time, he was forced to live in the city. 1/2

2/2 But his over confident personality has lead him into some postitions of haveing to so his own wounds, and even having to explain to a doctor why he will not have a sedative (he had already taken one previously) And unfortunately his own teachers have done this to him because he has not had the proper materials to exhibit his own abilities.

1/2. The never give up and slightly over confident nature of Kvothe has lead to many instances of him have success and failure. Due to his never give up attitude he has survived through his entire family being burnt at their wagon, being a homeless boy in the streets of Tarbean and even having no money but still bartering his way into school in the middle ages.

To be completely honest I only chose this book because the title was in interesting and I wasn't a little bit bored.

Oh... a world ruled by teens, a crazy, apocalyptic, word with no rules, and drugs are easier to acquire than candy. No internet, TV, or electricity. Aside from little generators that would fit on you like a jersey or something. The disease can only be countered by something in a tens body. So no way to repopulate, and around the time you turn eighteen you are vulnerable, and. Will. Die.

The book is still in the introductory phase, there is three perspectives, one from Daybreak, One from the vice president, and one from the not so secret service. The vice president is most likely going to be executed, Daybreak is a terrorist group, and the "secret" service is looking into the Daybreak group.

I am currently not far enough into that book to actually have a good understanding of what is going on, besides that the vice president has been kidnapped, and as not to be shallow and say that the vice president wants to be saved from death I am going to list the goals of Kvothe, from Name of the wind. I think that Kvothe has a misguided goal, he wants to do what others want him to do, not what he wants to do. 1/2

Kvothe's attitude towards the masters at the university caused him to receive a education for -3 talents, the equal of about $3,000 dollars in our terms, that means that he just got college intuition, and three thousand dollars. For being smart, I wish that could happen to me!

Right now the main character is at a less creepy and emotionless state of mind and is still homeless, poor, and broke. Being forced into seclusion by Pike, he goes to a bar in hopes of money after hearing a girl rant about a man who will pay a silver talent if you know a story he doesn't. Sadly he does know the story of Larne. So no money for Kvothe.

the main character cannot die, making him a permanent cliff hanger of how he will live on.

I think that the overarching theme in my book currently is live and forget. What was once a happy and joyous childhood has turned into child's equivalent of torture. Being forced to live on without parents to guide him or and family for that matter, and being beaten down for anything, even begging he must find a way to move on, unfortunately there is a lack of suspense because this is a flashback, 1/2

I think that my book would make a good trilogy because t has at least three major plot points. The first being a little "demon" problem, the second being a "MYPARENTSJUSTDIEDANDI'MBECOMINGANEMO!" little Kvothe cried. and I know theirs going to be more and I'm just waiting for them to come.

The author uses flashbacks. No questions about it, straight up fact. Kvothe is reciting his child hood, and were are lucky as crap to live in America. The main character lost his parents to... Singing on the road. All of their belongings burnt. He is in mourning, now how long til disbelief?

Still in the back story of the main character. And his slightly creepy story... of being a completely awesome prodigy at everything, however this makes it harder to relate to him, and makes him seem, superhuman.

If could give advice to the main character It would be to use a bit more secrecy in his telling of his past. Hes is using to much detail and the facts could be used to threaten or black mail him.

If there were two questions to ask the main character to either boost enjoyment or to make it an easier to understand plot. I would ask about Kvothe about his childhood and how Kote was "born". This would explanation some of his nonexistent backstory.

If I were to rename the book at the moment I would name it: The Demons of the Road. This is because of the main conflict at the moment. A Lot of demons on the road are terrorizing the public of a farming town. With no solution's in sight.

At the moment I think that the book really wants me to think about what's happening. With demons walking the earth and causing a ruckus, there is a shortage of everything due to their being a shortage of safe trade routes. The book is kind of forcing me to think about certain things a certain way, with a look of death and despair, one demon can alomst kill both a human and horse in under a minute, and over 1,000.

In all honesty I don't find the book that interesting. I feel that I finally found the book that I don't want to finish. so far its just a few people talking about breaking the law of "learning something new". Which is illegal for some reason. Just not interested in the book.

Personally I wouldn't like to change anything about my book. Given I am only on page 15 of 613ish (goodreads error) but right now the feel of desperation in the first story is truly acute.

Well... Sarah Res Brennan used a lack of detail to setup a nice little surprise for Nick, ripped straight out of star wars. Black Arthur is Nick's long lost father and was a little bit creepy literally only having a child to succeed him in the obsidian circle.

I swear tat the main character Nick Ryves is not human. I mean single handedly strangling a magic wolf. No! Just no! I'm sorry but he is NOT human.

torture, murder, and running from magicians. I'm sorry but what have these people not done in their lives? what is not to extreme for them? what does it take to drive these people to continue? I mean besides family.

A Because of stupid act of faith Alan accidentally got a demons mark, while this is happening his life is ticking away with less than a month left on the clock.

Well.. Nick's about to dance, yea dance. And not just a simple dance, a dance to summon demons for "favors" at the price of someones life. Choose wisely

Nick and Alan are being forced to run away to London. And in the process leaving behind a pair of siblings who desperately need their help. Unfortunately this book is seeming like a childish book using pretty much only basic sentences and so far not having a clear plot and I'm a 6th of the way done with the book.

I would relate the main character Nick to my brother Michael. Both were trouble makers and gravitated towards trouble. Both were over protective of their younger sibling. And finally both so far have made bad mistakes in the younger years.

A book that this can be related to is the Farseer trilogy book one: Assassins apprentice. The first story in I Robot and in the beginning both give ff a sense of great loss due to losing someone or something. In the beginning of Assassins Apprentice Fitz loses his puppy due to Burich attempting to stop the wit out of him.At the Beginning of I Robot Gloria has Robbie taken away to make her interact with other 1/2

Well, when it comes to a major plot nothing come close to the current point, just happened. You got four options: kill a prince, kill a prince and commit treason while doing so, kill your self, and finally. Do nothing, and face the wrath of your king, all the while if you were to obey orders to kill the prince, you cause a war and ruin any chance of peace. All the choices but all have consequences.
