ok im still reading bc i like the characters. shannon on the other hand im so sorry this author has made you do the things that you do. laying flat on ur back outside in the rain and cold?? jumping fully onto johnny like a tree bc you genuinely thought his dog was a ghost?? idkkk anyway still sick of the literal CONSTANT shes so tiny and young bs like pls stop that i hate it its ruining everything for me

ok i had more to say. idk why all other characters have personalities and yet the FMC is just like.. there. Plus, her first interaction with the MMC makes 0 sense given her past. Like would she really stand up for herself like that to him when she clearly did not in the past?? idk. I don’t like when the narrative doesn’t match what I’d expect the character to do based on their exposition. so idk about this one

I did not realize these characters were teenagers before picking this up sooo idk how I feel about it. Also why must the FMC be described as tiny and young looking every other paragraph, and whats wrong with the MMC that he’s attracted to someone who is described to be like a child??? I find it very hard to picture Shannon as a teen and not a fifth grader so it’s very weird. And Shannon has 0 personality so idk

so ok its good but like,,, i’m just tired of the fmc ‘fixing’ the mmc or whatever you wanna call it. it’s boring to me and so sooooo overdone. idk like why does the mmc always have a tragic backstory and the fmc ~steals his heart and saves him?? and this scene with her standing up for him made me cringe like girl you don’t even know these people and you have anxiety wth you doin forever ranting ab this srry

again, not a fan of the narration. too many exclamations and hands slamming on tables at weird times. but i ignore and persist i suppose

I started this book like a week ago or so, put it down, read another book, picked it back up again and have yet to put it back down (except when work gets in the way 😡). I’m like 100 pgs from the end now. But yeah. It’s as good as the hype I had heard about it. Esp for the JLA and SJM lovers. Don’t know why I keep picking up books that don’t have a released sequel yet so I must suffer till November 🫡

I literally started this yesterday and am halfway through it jsjvjsk also this book has everything I like: dragons, enemies to lovers, tall dark handsome mmc (the potential love triangle had me worried but I’m glad Violet is on the same page as me bless her, nothing I hate more than a fmc who can’t make up her mind and goes for the douchey guy)

tbh the plot is very circa 2013 bad boy harry styles fanfic so idk. im kinda just reading through this series bc i heard good things about the newest book so here i am. i dont like either of the main characters so far though lmaooo

finally picked this one up again. aelin might be my fave mc ever but this series is so slow and boring at times like i’ve been reading this fucking shit for 1.5 years now and im barely halfway 😩 i was so excited bc with heir of fire, the series finally got interesting and this one so far is just! disappointing

ik im not super far in but i’m just kind of bored. it’s super dialogue heavy but not in the way I normally like because there really isn’t much history or chemistry already established between nora and charlie but they bicker like they have all this history and all we got was one awkward meeting years ago as their history. idk i also don’t really like the narration much or nora either so 😬

read it before bedtime. had weird dreams. don’t recommend doing that. it’s definitely gross! and im only 30 pgs in lol

sooooo i had such high hopes for this lol and it’s not like bad but there’s just so many inconsistencies. and like some of it i just ignored bc whatever buT! literally 2 pages ago josh told clara about black hat (his company or we) and now she’s asking him ‘if black hat sounds familiar’ like girly??? were you listening. so yeah idk how that especially was overlooked in a published book.

I like it so far! not really into the way clara was obsessed with all the food josh was buying like girl its not a big deal to eat junk food sometimes. she was even putting it back on the shelves like! that’s his food! i imagine she’ll change but that was kinda annoying to me. not really into that whole ‘guy eats junk and doesn’t care meanwhile girl is super health conscious’ thing.

im starting to understand the negative reviews. i didnt like how close kieran and poppy got while cas was literally chained and tortured. dont like how things are being like forced towards the joining even though it doesnt really make sense with the plot/chars. i was all for the joining but i dont like how she’s going about it

i don’t understand fully yet but i just want to say that i fucking knew who day was and that is all jdkvnd (well ok i thought it was someone else at first bc obviously but then i realized and i was right omggg)

tbh (again) i was struggling through this book like 80% of the time. just felt like the plotline had gotten lost sometimes and idk it was boring me a little like i even got bored of hunt and bryce. and im a little like?? it took 700 pages to get to the point it’s at now??? like now im super fucking interested and can’t put it down jdnvjdb

tbh im way more invested in ruhn than i am in hunt/bryce 😬

idk why sjm still does the whole female helping male via sex but im not a fan of that (and wasn’t in acotar either) and that made me not really like enjoy reading all of that so much. which is like? shitty bc that was the ~long awaited~ scene and it just had to unfold like that?? idk just something that kinda threw me off. but yeah whatever! now there’s a fucking dragon??????
