I forgot to bring my book along and so bought Slade House on a whim , and damn, I am a happy that I did. The first two or three pages read rather wonky, like a child that's not firm on their feet yet. But once you're getting into it, it's an intriguingly crafted ghost story and you just can't stop reading. I love the different voices describing the same location/things as well. Brilliantly written.
