The story is so good but I’m having to push through Bastian’s chapters because the male narrator grates on my ears. The same cadence for every sentence over and over and over. I don’t recommend this audiobook even though the female narrator is great - but def eyeball it!

The plot took a different darker direction than I was expecting, but that isn’t a bad thing. Definitely check your triggers before reading this one. However, the commentary on many bad things in the real world and how the main characters are fiercely against them is both heartwarming and relieving.

Just discovered that this has an audiobook, so got it on Libro.fm, and now listening & reading along. So entertaining!!

I cannot put this down. It’s so easy to read but in a sophisticated way and the afterlife world-building is so intriguing!
