need everyone to know that i picked up this book at the store. read the first 3 pages. audibly went “oh no” because i knew i was not walking out of this store without buying this book.

i really do love this story but i'm also on the verge of dnf-ing right now because it's very, very description-heavy. i feel like i would appreciate it more if my brain weren't so fried lmao

i am suddenly so mad i hasn’t read this book sooner. ve schwab’s writing is always so addictive + cutting and her characters are always so sexc in a way only i understand actually

god i love when neil gaiman writes stories that are about kids whose parents are p neglectful + they wind up living such frightening situations like idk about you guys but this creeps me out more than coraline--
