This is turning out quite good!

I’m questioning my decision to push on through this for every chapter now - think it is time for another break anyway.

Oh, well, having gotten this far...

Chapter 50
We hide behind a wall that is more keeping us in than keeping anything out.

Can’t really read this fast enough now.

To start chapter 22, very absorbing. Bruises sounds so scary!

October buddy read with Edward: The reboot. I’m to start chapter 5 and this grabbed me right away! To be honest, dangling hidden rooms and passages in old houses are a bit of a cheat as I react pretty much like a dog to sausages... But also shows how important characterization is to a story; interesting characters- instant interest.

Part III: Dominion. Faltering a bit here as I have troubles with motivation to find out where this is going.

And when Edward is tempting with alternatives, the risk is huge that the Dragon won’t be afloat for a while. Perhaps it needs its rest as I do.

Another hour-long flight to go from Helsinki to home, which means I will pass the half way mark of this one tonight!

I like it, but have no idea yet how things are connected. Good story but could have used a bit more pace. That burglary went on for a hundred pages it felt like.

I'm quite confused but am enjoying it.

Still works

I've had this battered paperback for many years on my bookshelf and I thought I'd sample it before giving it away as I needed a 'filler book'. After a stumbling intro, it kind of woke my interest, let's see where it goes...

Enjoying this one immensely!

I had no idea this was going to be about someone being afflicted with GBS! That illness has a special fascination for me since I wrote a paper on it in nursing school. And because of Heller's "No laughing matter" of course.

These waters are really dark as well. And the story got really good!

This has been a long slow read. And now I don't want it to end!

Surreal and dreamlike. Good, but not the easiest to get into and keep track of.

This is like watching a wonderful British TV thriller/drama

This was not the easy way to write a second one, was it? I like it, though and have high hopes for the rest.

B-movie creature flick feeling with both the good:s and the bad:s implied in that.

Huh, would you look at that. New age-flavored apologetic mumbo-jumbo from Sam Harris. Hm.

Writing's brilliant, but something needs to happen soon, the chapters are blurring into each other for me.

"Act" was a bit too short to catch and keep interest. Plus, I got very confused about the ever shifting ages of the characters and thoughts about possible significance. Luckily for me, I'm reading this with my very knowledgeable friend Kenny and I asked him to educate me on this. Neat, huh? Really, everyone should have a Kenny I think.
