Starting to think the author doesn't quite get how internet culture works. Well, she's a boomer so that's kinda to be expected. Japanese one at that where they still use fax machines in this day and age.
Weird novel too. It's part crime/detective novel, part fantasy, and part Zen-like philosophical musings, and part social commentary. I don't think all four mix that well.
