Did you ever want to read someone trying to use a Jesus-y metaphor about Gaza by talking about “Bethlehem” before immediately starting the next paragraph comparing the cross and resurrection to a grilled cheese sandwich? If so, this book is for you.

God this book is so bad

This reads so far like when Evangelical Christianity “pokes fun” at itself with all its “wacky” problems but fundamentally doesn’t want to change. This is just “I hate religion but I love Jesus” which has been done and redone by Evangelicals so much I don’t know how it can be counted as a “deconstruction”
