This art is gorgeous, and the writing is pretty good to boot. The delicious cheese of the William Marshall films is gone, replaced by an earnest horror story...but I'm still on board so far.

I know that this one has the benefit of being written by Jack Yeovil (aka: Kim Newman, author of the "Anno Dracula" series), but it really feels like a solid 1/3 of Games Workshop's tie-in novels are legitimate literary works...while nearly everything US companies have tried to put out as tie-in fiction reeks of the boiling pot. :/
