It is hard for me to relate to this book in any capacity. The protagonist is so unlikeable and the author does a great job of making her so despicable it easy to root for her demise. I am almost done with this book and still not sure why I am continuing. For the first book of the year, I am severely disappointed. This could have been done in about 12 years chapters, how long can a story about plagiarism be? Ugh!

Ugh! This is sooooo good. I don't want this to be over. It is so tough to figure out how to rate this one. I love it but it is so hard to listen to. It is reminiscent of a Jodi Picoult novel, but without the angst of what is coming. This has rolled out with such a perfect pace and the story line is really great. I'm sad for it to be over soon.

Just love this series and the concept of them written by different authors. Brilliant!

2 hrs in and I am not enjoying the many chaotic clusters of characters. They are being introduced in such a fast way it is difficult to stay interested and feels forced. May not finish this one. Starting great big beautiful life instead.

Random stories...I like hearing about his very relatable family. Humorous sections. So far, for the first time, I'm getting a bit bored of his normally very delicious voice. But now just bored so I'm putting it on the shelf and picking up something different to break up the monotony

A GR woman I follow, and I whose book recs I usually agree with has it rated as 5 stars so I'm happy to give it a shot.

I enjoyed the creepiness of the “phoenician“ & the characters of this short gem.
My takeaway is haunting yet hopeful. I was sucked in to the characters of the story & their roles they played to paint a picture of time. Of loss. Of deception. Of life. Possible repeating history? I was happy to see our main character realize who was there and who wasn't during his life moments of self development

Turning back in. Not feeling the book. Will try again at later date.

Having a hard time staying interested. Been in my audio file for over 2 Mos now and can't seem to start it up again. I loved "these is my words" and this feels like an entirely different author. Not liking it at all. But I will finish so I can avoid the dreaded dnf pile once again.

I chose this book for our Feb reading club and we are excited to get started. Heard great things about it. We shall see...

Narrated by Meryl Street, could this be any better? ❤️

So amazingly good. I just know this will be a book I strongly suggest (ahem), force my hubby & kids to listen to on audible.
