Lost patience with it.

I read some, and put it aside for a while. The social/political history of the years preceding Mozart is tedious, but Daniel assures me it's important.

Luther Obijwe. If only anything was so good, but at least the bad's not so bad.

Good resource, brief, clear and well organized.

Not written for the media participants it describes. That's for sure.

Actually I'm reading the Bescon Press edition in a single volume.

It's pretty dated. What seemed innovative 20 years ago is stale now, even annoying.

This book has a certain Henry James quality, that I don't care much for

This book is a good effort really, but lacks something smooth, natural. believable. It's rather like a parlor drama of old.
