Just about to begin this, with trepidation. I only enjoyed about half of Crime & Punishment (though it was still worth the read). I'm told this doesn't have the same issues. Still, though, I am prepping myself for some long descriptive passages about mental states of person that I cannot identify with. The best book ever written? We'll see.

Here goes.

I finished the first book and will read the sequel later. It's odd that they aren't published independently anymore.
