I think it is an excellent book. I love how Eleanor is portrayed, and her relationship with Abbot Suger, who is not a very good person. They have to work together for France and Aquitaine's sake. I hate King Louis VII, and love the description of Constantinople. I have great expectations for this book.

So Anne Boleyn is the devil... That's the message isn't it? I hate when characters are portrayed as 100% evil, specially when it comes to Anne Boleyn. I say to myself: "it's just Cromwell's point of view, not Mantel's" Lady Rochford, I find her funny, aleays gossiping... But all the Boleyn clan is too evil to be real! Except for Mary Boleyn. Overall, I think it's a very good book, I love how Mantel write the scenes.

Henry VIII and Cromwell are in the Seymours' house in Wolf Hall. Is Jane's trying something? She's been talking about extra-marital affairs, and about Mark Smeaton... I think I want to strangle her.

As I predicted, Morgan turned to be a BAMF, she's no complex, she's not a realistic character, she came and she left, McKenzie's not very interested on her. A pity, because Morgan is a character full of potential. Always. On the other side, I like the story of Guinevere being abducted by the Druids, I like how the author introduced Viviane's beheading by Balin. I like Alyse, much moré than I liked in the first part.

Enter Queen Morgan of Rheged! Here she's not Gorlois' daughter but Uther's, an influence of Mary Stewart's Arthurian saga... It's a pity, I think she's gonna be a total BAMF! And I'm upset, because I like complex versions of Morgan, she's the coolest character of the whole Arthurian legend!

Second part of the book. Lancelot is back and Guinevere tells him about her step-son Mordred. This Guinevere is the best one I've ever read, she loves both Arthur and Lancelot, but Lancelot's relationship is not sexual. Bedwyr is an awesome character, i really like him! I liked the 1st part of the book, "The Child Queen", Elaine was a total bitch but I liked her. Hope to see more of Morgan in the 2nd part...
