A 15 year old boy named Stephen and his father had just buried his grandfather. Him and his father are trying to survive a seemingly apocalyptic setting. Fever has swept throughout the entire US. Stephen and his father are struggling to survive, using everything they can. When they run into an old abandoned plane, they go inside and explore. They find some food, but when they are leaving they see slavers, and flee.

So far, nothing major has happened in this book. It is about a 15 year old boy named Steve and his father trying to survive in what was Florida after an apocalypse from a disease. On their way to trade something, they find an abandoned airplane and check it out. Inside, there is a large can of pears, which the two eat delightfully. Trouble occurs when slavers start moving towards the plane as it begins to rain.

I have finished this book. Overall, it is a pretty good book with many details about the 49ers and Cowboys. It talks about their coaches, Walsh and Landry, and the players. This book also talks about the histories of the two teams and, most importantly, The Catch. The Catch was an amazing play that was made by Joe Montana and Dwight Clark. This book explains everything about The Catch and much more.

So far, the author has written about the rivalry with the 49ers and the Cowboys. Also, He talked about Bill Walsh, the coach of the 49ers.

So far, Joe Montana has talked to his head coach and has set the play up.

One of the main characters of this book is Lennie. He is a mentally challenged grown man who is very strong but sometimes cannot control his strength. The other main character in this book is George, who is kind of like a father to Lennie. George is much smaller than Lennie, but he guides him, since Lennie is not exactly in control of himself.

Right now, Lennie killed a puppy on accident by hitting it and is worried that George will not let him tend the rabbits on the farm they hope to have soon. He is talking to Curley's wife even though George said not to talk to her since it may cause problems. Curely is the son of the owner of the ranch that George and Lennie are working on right now. They are trying to raise money to buy the small farm.

Actually I'm not done with Of mice and men. I accidentally put that I was on the wrong page. I chose this book because I liked some of Steinback's other books like tortilla flat and the pearl.
