This is gripping story, and is particularly unnerving to me, as dementia runs in my family. But so far the writing is oddly clinical. Most of the characters seem to be made of cardboard. It’s kind of like watching an ABC after-school special with heavy handed exposition and wooden dialogue, but the subject matter is so compelling that you keep watching anyway.
