Loving this so far.

Oh. Fuck. Yes. I am fully in.

I'm disappointed in this narrative so far. It feels trite in a way the other books never did.

This book is a depressing slog. I wish I could take this concept and give it to a more talented writer. What a waste.

I really like Yarpen and hope he sticks around. Triss, on the other hand, can't bugger off fast enough... ugh.

I'm at that point in reading a book you don't like where every little thing just pisses you off.

Geralt's conversations with Ciri are so adorable.

There are way too many characters in this book. Very difficult remembering who's who.

"'She's disgraced our name,' he said. 'She's disgraced it twice over.'

[...] 'That's once too often, isn't it really,'" My god I love Dave.

"The distance between those we know best and their art is a curiously immeasurable one."

The amount of men attempting to use Goodreads as a dating app is so baffling to me.

Pretty sure I know exactly where this is going.

I find this book funny and interesting, but it might be the slowest I've read anything. Reading a narrator who is almost pathologically perceptive of every detail in his environment and life is really tiring; I only get through a few pages at a time.

Adopting twenty-two kids because "it's almost like a high"... I've been withholding judgment of the wacky actions of the people profiled in this book, but this couple is grotesque.

"If every good act is required, then none is praiseworthy. There is no more virtue—only duty and vice."

I was wondering how long it'd be until "Famine, Affluence, and Morality" showed up...

My reading has stalled on this because I kept rolling my eyes so hard at "The War Lovers" that they were in danger of popping out of my head. I'll give it another shot soon and see if the story improves.

First book I've downloaded on my Kindle and I finally feel like I'm making progress—maybe because I can't see how long it is. Really enjoying this though and hoping to finish in a week or two!
