I still don’t understand the significance of Clay, but I really am enjoying the mother’s Russian heritage.

I put this off for so long, and now I don’t know why. It is SO romantic, and has all my favourite book tropes.

I can’t follow what the deal is with this murderer but I like Zuzack’s voice.

This is everything I wanted Harry Potter to be.

This reminds me of In Other Lands. I’m enjoying Pierce’s writing.

I’m not LOVING this simply because it’s more suitable for a younger YA audience. The language and storyline is a little too basic/uncomplex (right now; who knows what will happen).

Prediction: this will be read in one sitting.

I thought this would be a high fantasy… it’s not. So far it’s just a contemporary and a reverse of Cinderella; an evil step dad, and a drugged out hippie for a mother.

It’s sad.

What finally broke me: Dorian, Chaol and Aelin saying goodbye.
