reading these as a countdown to Trump being out of office. 1460 total days of Trump in office. 1496 pages in this book. I'll play catch up through January and a week or two in February and then hit a page-a-day pace until both are Bottomed out.

LIke all Ellroy novels this book is so far a brilliant mess, but ye gads, this cover is not my favorite. I'm not a fan of banning language or art, but the swastika is so dominant it is startling. I fear I will have to read this book in the closet or remove the dust jacket.
