this is my first endevour in to classic Russian literature... and I like it. This may be the most morally and philosophically dense material I have ever encountered.

If ever anyone could possibly find something to crticize about Meivilles work, it most certianly wouldn't be his lack of imagination.

probably one of the more complex sci fi novels I've ever read, but very interesting none the less!

About 30% in. This book does require some effort on the reader's part due to the unfamiliar vernacular and foreign words, and the flashbacks and memories intertwining with the present... but still very worth it!

The History of the Ancient World: From the Earliest Accounts to the Fall of Rome
Been trudging along on this one for quite some time; however, I finally got to the point where it's becoming very very interesting. The birth of Rome, The Celts, Hinduism, Budhaism... glad I stick with this one.

Very interesting how history becomes much more detailed as time progresses and humans documented more persistently what was going on in the world around them. The Egyptions were a fascinating people.
