A lot of wiping Artie's memories of Sarah repercussions -- which is frustrating after a novel of getting those two crazy kids together. Expect things will eventually pick up once the adventure part of the book finally kicks in...

85% THE BOOK IN DONE. THE TABLE OF CONTENTS LIE. The epilogue is like 2 or 3 pages and then there is a novella hidden in my ebook addition that goes until 98%. ANNOYING. Not the authors fault, but fuuck! Literary equivalent of walking up stairs and suddenly hitting air.

It is growing on me Steve and military man/agent are grounding the book and keeping me engaged.

Fairly grim so far. Liked Steve. Guess I might see him get killed a bunch of times...

Switch to Artie's pov cause mystery drama of what the cuckoos are doing with her.

'What is in your heart?' or 'What does your heart say?' If you are into novels with lines like that this book might work for you. I alternative between going a little soft, and then vomitting in my mouth. This is a author for the sentimental and it really has been the edge of far too sacarine for me. Knife's edge. If I was a tad more cynical I'd just lay into this doe eyed twinkie of a book.

'Wife of a King', Part 2, the makeover portion that is insulting to both native women and women in general. The Malemute Kid decides to teach wandering hubbie Cal Galbraith a lesson, by transforming his native wife Madeline in a sexy white acting version of herself. Imperious with great ankles...

They take him away and Gio gives them message about Blue Angels, very much Pinnocio tale stuff. A lot of obvious sexy stuff in a naive crude way about Vic and HAP. Off they go to get Gio back. Heart broke.

Vic(tor) and Nurse Ratched fix and bring the studly (though genitial free) android back to life and Rambo (the sentient and cowardly vacuum cleaner) says 'He's Alive!' fervently. I know it says Pinnochio retelling on the box, but so far a lot more surface Frankenstein stuff... Though yeah, Vic's android father is called Giovanni. Need to do my ACE refresher research.

Doru spared to be companion of Sen in his final days. Shae's decision to put this forward for good of Grandfather Sen.

Really think things should have gone to shit already, but this is a trilogy or something so probably only the end? Or maybe at 2/3's the way thru. One of the brothers is surely dead, if not both... Maybe...
