reading this book for a book club that meets tomorrow night...prob. won't finish but I've been curious about this book for some time, so let's give it a try and see what comes out of it!

ahhhh Ive had a feeling about what it could be for a while now, and that feeling is getting stronger. A lot is falling into place and I think I know the secret that everyone seems to be keeping

«spoilers» something just does not seem right about being back on the island after the accident. i have a feeling some events are only in her imagination... the interactions do not seem genuine, and there is something strange about the liars not wanting to have mes with everyone, "too much togetherness" they are separating their realities from everyone else...

The Goldfinch is like a magnet that hides in the corners of my brain and tugs on my desire to read. I love the writing style and am forever finding spare moments to sneak in a few more sentences. I think constantly about the beautiful quotes, details, and story within the pages, wishing I was currently reading it. When I do find the time to pick this book up, I can't stop myself. What an incredible gem!

so far.....meh. A bit bland and not what I expected when choosing a horror genre.

Had to update after I read this chapter since I'm basically screaming at the book.I HATE JOFFREY!!My head is exploding with anger and indignance. His behavior is absolutely inexcusable, and even though Sansa definitely needed to learn a lesson to save her from naivety, I literally want for him to suffer the worst possible fate involving extreme brutal torture. Seriously, what a douschebag. Okay. Rant over..for now.

I lost interest in this book after it just didn't really seem to be going anywhere interesting after halfway through the book. Maybe I need to give it a second shot but for now I will leave it at that and put it on my "need to finish" shelf.

enjoying this so far, I like how the various chapters are told from the differing perspectives of the main characters. I don't usually read this genre but I plan on watching the television series eventually and thought it would be cool to get a head start by reading the novels. Gladto expand my horizons.
