It is seriously taking me a month to read this. Finally back into it and I just love Kingfisher in this book… mostly because of carrion. I do not vibe with Saeris. Keep waiting for it to happen lol

Written better than the first one but it is taking me forever to read because I’m just not that into it yet ugh

Kind of wish horrible alistar would have a redeeming moment just to be interesting.

I feel like a 167 year old fae wouldn’t be that bashful or embarrassed about being naked. I also feel like they wouldn’t be playing steal someone’s clothes while they bathe to embarrass them… and if someone gives you their shirt so you’re not walking around naked, you’re really still thinking they are your enemy?? Eyeroll

Last time I listen to someone on instagram saying an author really knows how to write an enemies to lovers trope lolol

So they have to show off their talent before the trials? This sounds like a fae version of the hunger games. Can’t help but roll my eyes. I did laugh at how she made her talent work & I do love that she is 167yr old & not 17. But just as I’m like okay yeah! There is a ball. Why is there always a ball?!

It isn’t well written in my opinion so far, the world building/etc isn’t developed as much as I’d like… but it’s interesting. I’ll keep rolling lol

Enjoying… but way too many updates on her cat/interactions with her cat. Love when my MCs have pets, don’t like when they’re apart of the storyline this much but also having literally zero to do with the plot/story. Andddd I think we could come up with a better description than “like, really really hot” for Sean.

Pure, quick fluff. Cute.

As horrible as auriela was, I feel like we should have felt a little bad for her in her circumstances?

I am almost finished and just realized I haven’t chosen my next book… send help, the panic is real. 😝

Well… if you’re up for a good eye gouge, this is the book for you. So gross. Love how I have a hard time visualizing much of this book but that I could see vividly. But was she screaming? How was she not? Also…. The grape without the g…. This is totally a beauty & the beast vibe but not in a good way. Yikes didn’t like that

Okay like can we chillzzz with the background mumbo jumbo and just stick to convos and interactions between the characters because those I cannot get enough of. Also mourrough or whatever his name is… the description of him on his corpse throne is like the stuff of nightmares barf. Loved it lol

I’m simultaneously into it and bored out of my mind it is so slow and long aaaggghhh

This book is actually so good

Well this is a bit of a rough start lolol

Not much is happening, but the characters and their dialogue make me smile. I cannot put it down.

I Love this… They’re in their 30s, it’s a slow burn adventure. Just what I wanted.

A tad slow, but I’m enjoying the adventure. Much different than anything else I’ve read this year and what a breath of fresh air that they’re in their 30s…

I really like it so far, it’s funny. I’m glad I didn’t read anything about it before I started.

I really like this book but all the “surprises” at the end didn’t surprise me. I’m just kind of like yup saw that coming. And that. I will say though that I like the change in their relationship. Makes things interesting.
