The “heroes” of this story are not very likeable at all, Calla and her “friends” couldn’t be more on dimensional, John is relatively boring and using his Native American ancestry to make him the brains seems basic.
Emily is fine if not a bit pathetic. Hopefully we see some growth across the board from them

So 40% in, enjoying the cult aspects and the slight supernatural.
I despise Calla, but then is it just that she is written so well that I despise her.
Emily needs to grow a god damn spine.

Really not sure how there is over 300 pages to go
