still loving the interweaving of plots. I am well into Book 2 now and have a couple of gripes. SPOILER SPACE ok. Leader did prove he had some powers to the point that we and Aomame could believe his weird story. but it bugged me.that at the end she killed him for a number of reasons, but the raped girls were not on her mind.

This is fun. not jaw dropping amazing, but fun. I am thrown by the constant POV changes- that kind of thing isn't supposed to get past an editor.

Sat at breakfast and read yesterday. Totally off topic of the book, this book stinks of chemicals. I think about the people who hate ebooks and talk about how good books smell - get 1Q84 and you will wish for a Kindle.

at this point its hard to tell how far in I am. all of the seemingly boring details early on are relevant and I'm wishing I had the paper book to reference. it's fascinating and I'm really liking the characters.
