I read this book after reading Fire Weather. Highly recommend - Rachel Carson is a fabulous writer. And knowing she wrote this book initially in 1962, is mind numbing. If we knew then what we know now, would we use the same methods to destroy life (and even the impact to human life)? I found myself mad at humans for how destructive we are to “all things”.
