I’ve found the general plotting and action fine.

The initial exposition was also quite annoying - contrived speculative science.

However. I have loved the examples of analysis applied once this is set in motion.

The statistics discovering the poorly designed algorithm. Being a favourite chapter.

Malcolm’s monologues are incredible

The dinosaur passages are truly awesome also. Of course

This is pissing me off.

Why are we overwriting the biggest wins from the last book. Feels like they didn’t really know where to take the story for Ripley.

I like the new setting - derelict mine / prison camp. The potential infection of livestock rather than a human. Cool world building stuff, the writings good. But hate what they’ve done with Ripley’s story thus far.
