I do not care about this book. There's some interesting themes here for sure and it's easy to read but so far it's been very predictable and the writing has not made me care about the characters enough at all to feel the suspense and dread it wants me to.

Parallels between house and canon Gabriel, both "peeling"
Boy + girl parallel universe ghosts? Like from the parallel universe where his mom was with blue car guy and had them instead (then died?)
Skin stuff could be something in the family and that's why both parents included it one way or another

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the deer man omg this scene was so simple and straightforwardly told but it GRIPPED ME

Really good so far, i'm hooked! The writing style is kinda weird but in a good way, there's a distinct voice to it that's quite blunt and to the point. Narrator Gabriel is so dysfunctional and sympathetic and i am really curious where the plot is going
