It’s actually going pretty well. I see why people feel like they can’t connect with the protagonist, but idk. Who wants to constantly read books where the protagonist is always likeable?

It’s very nicely paced. Quick. I like the descriptions in this book and the structure of them, definitely unique compared to other books I’ve read in my past.

I wasn’t sure I would like this at all. I picked it hoping for something supernatural, and the first little chapters don’t really seem to encourage much of it. But as deep as I am now into this book, the supernatural aspects are much stronger and are no longer subtle. Full blown witchcraft, cannibalism, ghouls, ghosts. It’s great. It’s exactly what I was looking for.
