So far I really like this Italian perspective on WW II. It is a complicated situation with the Catholic Church, Mussolini, the Nazis, and the Italian Resistance fighters. Beautiful setting. Sympathetic main character.

This book is very interesting if you like reading about psychological research. It is too dense for the average reader. Individual experimental details are discussed. I enjoyed experiencing how my brain fooled me with biases and other fast-thinking heuristics it uses automatically.

Just not excited to finish this pretty ridiculous story, despite liking the protagonist.
