Okokok. I read this years ago and never did a review. I wasn't on goodreads. So I'm reading as new eyes, but it is on the bottom of my current read pile as I made author commitments to a cpl others. But if I leave it in my wtr pile, I may not do it!
I'm not good at switching btwn books so this will take awhile! 🤞

I was reading much slower through approx pg 125 or so.. but now I understand why! It was in-depth world building.
THEN-- I can't even describe the actual magical world we fall into! 😮 (at least not without major spoilers)! E X C E L L E N T!!

(The paperback has 576 pgs, not 802, so this % is off,; it appears I'm nearly half-way.)

I am enjoying this ARC book sooooo much! At first it seemed I was reading way too slow, but I've figured out it is due to her lovely detailed way of describing everything; she fully immerses us in this excellent world she has built. The characters are being built too, and I can't wait to fully understand the purpose. It's magical and REALLY unique!

Just an FYI.. I'll be setting this aside for just a bit until I read my other current book....
So far, the story seems interesting- starting with the historical sinking of the pleasure yacht RMS Lusitania during WW2. A thief onboard had just stolen a small silver statue- one of the famous "Three Fates". A century later 3 siblings go on a quest to recover their grt grt grandfather's treasures..the set of 3.

I've had this laying in my tbr pile since the last special printing of it. Pub 2002 but reprinted 2021 & 2024. (Her writing gets better as time goes) The 3 fates have been in a few of the books i've read, so Im curious.
